According to the robot industry trade organization, the robot industry association (RIA) released the latest statistics show that robot in 2015 fastest-growing market in North America.
In the first half of 2015, north American robotics companies set the output 10000 robot, worth $4232 and $840 million the size of the order record, unit increased by 1% and 7% revenue growth, breaking the record of the same period in 2014 to keep.
President of RIA JeffBurnstein said: "we are inspired by the north American robot market continues to grow, not only in North America for robots remain strong interest, the world is now keen to develop robotics, because more and more enterprises realize that the robot can help them to improve production efficiency, product quality and flexibility."
In the first half of 2015, in the field of many of the major industry, sales of various types of robots are keep growing. Semiconductor (30%), auto parts (23%), and life sciences (8%), the three industry robot sales year-on-year growth rate is the largest. In contrast, in the first half of 2015 the order of the automobile coatings in cold, compared with a record of performance in the first half of 2014, down 18%.
Coating/distribution and material handling, and other areas of the main robot application has realized the market the best start of this year. RIA AlexShikany market analysis director said: "that year until June of 2015, the application in the coating/distribution and material handling robot orders increased by 36% and 36% respectively. In the market of the robot, material handling is our gauge and contact with many important industry of the largest category. To be able to see the robot such rapid growth in the field is very encouraging." Shikany added, to some extent, the material handling applications significant growth can be traced back to the growth of the automotive industry, such as semiconductor/electronics, life sciences and other industries. RIA, estimates that about 230000 2000 robot has been applied in the factory, the robot use after Japan, ranked second in the world.
